Laura Roberts
Youth and Camp Director
Laura received her B.A. in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and began her professional career teaching kindergarten in California while working at the Palo Alto JCC camp during her summers. Having a passion for programming and working with youth, Laura joined the JCC movement full time by becoming the Coordinator of Youth and Family Services at the YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood in 2009. During her 5 plus years in NYC, Laura received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Baruch College. Laura loves the Akron Community and is excited for another upcoming summer!

Diane Galizio
Assistant Camp Director
Diane received a BA in Education at the University of Akron. She has worked at the Shaw JCC for 23 years teaching the 3 years old preschoolers, various enrichment classes, and working in Early Childhood Camp as a counselor, specialist, and Assistant Director. For the last 6 years she has been the School-age Coordinator and 2 years ago she also became Camp Program Director. During these years at the Shaw JCC, Diane has loved working with children and she is looking forward to an exciting summer.
